Separating cartons and liquids creating two waste streams

- 100 % product destruction ensures that products are not resold or used internally
- Save space and handling costs by compacting cartons early in the process
- Save costs by separating into two waste streams – liquids and solids
Filling plants, dairies and other producers of drinks such as juice, yoghurt and other beverage cartons, destroy goods returned because of production faults or because they are past their sell-by dates, in order to prevent them from being resold in error.
RUNI Screw Compactors deal with destruction, emptying and compacting in one process, saving both storage and handling costs for the producer. Locating the compactor close to the production facility ensures greater destruction security and saves transport costs by avoiding unnecessary transport of the full cartons.
In food enterprises the machine must be screened off from the primary production area, and RUNI has several solutions to meet this requirement.
During separation, the waste stream is divided into two. The liquid can be disposed of as waste water, but in some cases it can be collected and sold for other purposes, for example energy production or animal food. The solid material is made dry enough to be disposed of with ordinary combustible waste at a lower charge.
