Compacting separates fluids from dry matter

The high pressure in a RUNI Screw Compactor is unsurpassed for separating liquids from dry matter. Due to the screw’s high moment, the process is often more efficient and uses less energy than many traditional methods such as centrifuging or heat drying. The liquid is pressed out through a matrix that is especially adapted to the material and the application.
This property can be used for a number of interesting applications and RUNI has supplied solutions for the dewatering, draining, drying, separation and destruction of a wide range of products and materials.
De-watering and draining increases the content of dry matter
With regard to waste, an important factor is whether it can be disposed of as ordinary or combustible waste, often at a lower charge, or even sold for reuse. You are also free of the extra weight the water usually involves. The recycling industry often has to wash and dry material before it can be recycled. RUNI Screw Compactor is an effective drying machine with extremely low energy consumption compared with other solutions, for example for washed PE film. The reject from most washing systems can be drained in a RUNI Screw Compactor with great advantage.
Separation empties packaging
Full or half-empty containers with liquid are compacted and are emptied easily and effectively. Faulty production, test production and returned goods with water, beer, juice, paint, etc. are destroyed immediately, the liquid collected or led away and the remaining waste takes up much less space and is really dry. This often results in lower waste costs and the option of selling on the materials for recycling. This also means less waste at landfill sites.
Let us give it a try
The experience we have acquired is invaluable when we need to assess the options available to any new customers. In many cases, we are able to find the right solution solely on the basis of a sample of the material. In some cases we will recommend a test run to ensure that the solution meets the customer’s requirements.
