EPE Compacting - Expanded Poly Ethylene
An increasing number of EPE products are available on the market, especially packaging for breakable products such as glass and electronics.
Some types of EPE are suited for compacting into a cohesive cylinder with a density of 500 kg/m3 or 30 lbs/ft3. These types of EPE have large cells that snap when the material is pressed during handling.
Other types can be compacted, but will expand again when the material exits the jaws. If this is the case, we are able to compact directly into endless plastic bags that hold the compaction.
